end of the month
Outside my window is a very fat bird. I'd say it was pregnant, but i think it's a male bird. It's been there for a while, at least a half an hour. It's bird wife was trying to get something out of it's mouth earlier. Maybe it's sick.

I finished "The Host" last week. I really hope they don't ever turn it into a movie. I think Hollywood would ruin an amazing story. If they did turn it into a movie, I wouldn't see it. It would be awful. I would reckon it's awfulness to the Alien vs. Predator Movies.

The book however, is beautiful. It challenges your sense of individuality. It is confusing at first, and once I get my copy back from my SIL I'll read it again. I hope that knowing her writing format will help the beginning be a little less confusing.

I was looking out my window at work the other day and saw hang gliders and I thought that it looked like fun. I also thought that If I tried it, I'd probably pee my pants. LOL.

Katie has been walking around like a pro. She is getting quite a bit of hair in, and likes to jabber to herself. She's 22 lbs and 31 inches long (in comparison to her 8lbs 3 oz and 19 1/2 inches long at birth) She's starting fits now. She's pretty good at them. Hopefully she doesn't get "better" at throwing them. :S

By the way:

Hello Kitty Thank You!

To everyone who came to Katie's party, and had fun. I think it was a good time. I had a good time (once I got past all the stressing) and Katie had a GREAT time :D Thanks to Drama Queen who was Awesome and helped me with Katie's party planning, and her cake, and party stuff transportation... and listen to me complain about how stressed I was. :) She's awesome. Also thanks to my mom who helped with the cake, and listening to me complain, she also brought chairs and helped me pick out the party supplies. :)

And To Scott (who will never read this because he never reads my blog any more ;)) Thank you for being so understanding about my horrible mood and my attitude and for being so understanding about why Katie needed a special dress, and cooking for everyone.

Thanks everyone for your amazing gifts, Katie loves them!!!

it's been a long hard month, and there are a few more days-- but I'm glad it's done with. Hopefully our house will sell soon, and a lot less can be going on ;D

Exercise fanatcism
I get it!

My whole life i have hated GYM (AKA Physical Ed for those of you who haven't lived outside the state of utah) I loved going to Gym in colorado (cept when we had to run) because what we did wasn't exercise, it was fun. I did some crunches last week, and it hurt my tummy HARD CORE, but it felt good. When the dumb ladies on the TV were all, "Can't you feel the stretch? Doesn't that feel good?" and I was screaming in my head "NO! IT DOESN'T FEEL GOOD YOU MASOCHIST!" Cause it didn't. I don't rightly know what's changed, but maybe it's because I don't feel like I'm exercising for a grade anymore... or maybe it's because i can just finally feel how good it feels. I'm working hard to drink all my water in a day! I will do it! I can do it! I can keep my weight in line! I can even push it back! I can do it!!

Some more people are coming to look at our house today. I've discovered that with my recent flare of ADD (it's been hard core bad lately) that I just need to keep busy. I was working on laundry and dishes last night, and i felt bad because I wasn't playing with Katie, who was desperately trying to play on Scott's DS. She's such a cutie and has become more and more expression filled every day. She made this face last week (made me wish I had a camera) that was priceless. It was definitely an "Uh oh, I'm in trouble" face. She's getting better at walking every day too. She's just started to walk on tile. :) She's pretty good at walking in shoes too. The sandals we got her for for her birthday party are working out very well. We just got her some 4th of july flip flop type shoes that she should be able to have lots of fun in. I can't wait for summer and more summer activities. she'll be able to appreciate them much more this year than she did last year. :) Although she was a pretty big fan of Fireworks last year. :) LOL.

I don't know, I'm in a really good mood today. Scott's agreed that we need to more more, and that we should support each other as a couple to do so. We're going to go on walks in the morning and at night so that we are moving more often. I'm planning on doing walks during my breaks and drinking LOTS more water, and monitoring my caloric intake. That's not dieting, it's keeping what I eat under control. Which sometimes I have a problem with. I'm working really hard. If you want to see the website that's helping me, it's Spark People It's been really helpful to be able to lay out something that I'd actually eat in their nutrition section and have it tell me, realistically for the weight goal I have, what I should be eating. More less of what, and where.

It's a really great program. I"m enjoying it so far.

I"m reading "The Host" By Stephenie Meyer (I always spell her name wrong, I had to look at the book to make sure i got it right) and I'm almost done, so far, great read. Like seriously, it's not a kiddie book. I don't think they should make it into a movie though, No offense to Stephenie or anything, I think its such a good book that I think if they were to turn it into a movie it would become hokey and ... too much like a bad star wars re-run? I don't know, I think Hollywood would kill it and dance in it's shiny blood.

I won't give too much of the book away, It's a good story, Confusing at first, i think it was hard for her to write this way, but it's good. I recommend it...so far, I have about 150 pages left, so I"ll let you know tomorrow what I think.

yeehaw
here it is. My obsession, my pride....

Katie's Hello Kitty Cake

I'm no baking genius, I won't be catering any parties any time soon, but we all had a good time. Katie was not so pleased at having icing on her hands (it was cool whip btw, so as to not give a sugary overload) she ate a jelly bean or two (yum) and we shared a hamburger before cake and ice cream. She loved walking around with her uncle Dax, and it seemed to me that all had a good time. I hope so. If you'd like to see more Katie birthday pics, go here

Katie has been walking more and more lately, which is good. Someone came to look at our house last night, and someone will be coming tonight. I hope that it sells soon. I just need to keep doing what I can... and once we're all moved, we'll throw a BIG OLE Scott party. Why?

because I have the best most tired husband ever. He works to keep the house in a presentable condition for our realtor, does dishes and feeds Katie, Takes her out on walks, gets little to no sleep while watching her and cleaning, because after he's done cleaning, he has to go to work.

And I'll do what I can to make sure he gets A TON of sleep, and has a good time with our friends.... I super ultra quadruple love all the stuff he does for us. I appreciate him so much! *kissy kissy love love* I"m just saying, the man does lots of work, and doesn't get much in return. I would let him sleep all Saturday if I could, but we have Katie picture time. Which MAY mean we'll get another family Picture too, I'm not sure yet. I'm excited...

I'll tell y'all when I get the pictures back ;)

Off to Pay some bills

I must need own Halo 3 now.

[Adam] Baldwin has a role as a voice actor in the Xbox 360 game Halo 3. He voices a Marine in the game. He is joined in this capacity by former Firefly colleagues Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. The personality each of these actors are given in the game match those from their characters in Firefly. At several points in the game he is heard to shout "Have a taste of Vera!", a direct reference to his gun in the show. The line "sure would be nice if we had some grenades," from the movie Serenity, also appears.

Adam Baldwin, Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk!? Not to mention references to Vera?! I must needs have it. Just so I can listen to the clips! YES, I'm that big of a nerd!

Back to work...

birthday jitters
Welcome May! Also Happy Cinco De Mayo. If I spelled that wrong, keep in mind that A) I took German in High School, and B) I'm a gringo. TADA!

5 days until Katie's B-day. I'm so enthused! I am a partying machine. Nearly everyone has RSVP'd (Cept one couple that I kind of expected not to come) I advise you that if you have a camping chair, please bring it. There is ONE pavilion with ONE picnic table... so unless you're a fan of standing and eating... I'd bring one. :) I'll bring some, and I do believe my MIL has some, so I'll have those brought as well... Unless it's bad weather and we're inside... then no worries... Which one website says rain 30% and another just says clouds. I'm saying, if you don't see a mass of cars at the park, just continue to the other address on the invite. Since most of the activities I have planned are outside activities, please pray for good weather, so we're not all bored brainless!

In other news, Katie burnt her hands a bit. Due to my own brainlessness (apparently that is a word...) she put her hands on an oven window and burnt them handily. (haha, pun) in any case... she has tiny blisters on her fingers, and she seems to be fine otherwise. We are keeping her under close observation to make sure the blisters don't pop, and that there are no signs of infection. My poor girl. Scott says she's playing happily, so I'll have to just go on that.

Also, in case you haven't heard/experienced...

My cell phone is the SUCK! Seriously. I apologize. it cuts in and out and I sound like a church mouse stuck in a blender, so i'm sorry!

I'm excited for Mother's Day. Mostly because I feel overjoyed at being a mother. I love my daughter (though she can drive me crazy sometimes) and I love my husband. I'll cut it off there before getting too smooshie. ;)

Lots of people are asking what they can do to help with my party. Pretty much nothing. We're good. My mom and my Mother in law are making salads (yay) Ill be bringing some soda, hamburgers, and hotdogs (YUM) and have set apart a whole day to shopping for the remaining food. :)

Some people have asked for suggestions on what to get Katie, and I'll give you some in a second.... first I'd like to say, You don't really need to bring Katie anything. She's way too young to know what's up, and she'll just be happy that a multitude of people have came together to say Happy Birthday Katie! If you insist that you want to give her something (which once again, is totally optional on your part!) She likes Duplo (large Legos) and books. Anything with lots of faces ...

and she loves Dolls. though she's got quite a few already! LOL.

Seriously though, you really don't need to get her anything, just come say Happy Birthday, and play with her and smile at her, she just loves people!
